Most of us have been there: Late and after one too many glasses of wine, you retire for the night thinking, “I am so looking forward to that spicy salad-bar-topped Bloody Mary in the morning.” Well, maybe you haven’t been there, but have indeed craved the perfect spicy Bloody Mary. With just a few items on hand you can create your very own hangover helper.
- Vodka of choice
- Bloody Mary mix of choice (my favorite of late has been Zing Zang)
- Old Bay seasoning
- Radishes, thinly sliced
- Green olive, without pimento
- 1T Sriracha hot sauce
- Worcestershire sauce
- Celery seed
- White pepper
- Lime wedges
- Celery Stalks
Thinly slice radishes and stuff olives with horseradish. Skewer both onto toothpicks. Wet the rim of each glass with a lime wedge, then dip, twisting into a plate of old bay seasoning to coat the rim.
In a large shaker filled with ice, add 1 part vodka to 3 parts of the Bloody Mary mix. Add 2 dashes of worcestershire, 1 teaspoon of horseradish, 1/4 teaspoon white pepper, dash of celery seed and 1 tablespoon of Sriracha.
Shake the mixer generously to combine. Pour over ice in the Old Bay-rimmed glasses.
Garnish with the horseradish-stuffed olives, lime wedges. Serve immediately.
The thing about making the perfect Bloody Mary is you always have to be prepared to make another batch.
